FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT TREASURE HUNT
A location-based cell phone game ripped off (not) from the Broadway play
New York, New York - July 28, 2005.
CUTLASS, Inc. has aligned itself with HHC Marketing
and the producers of Monty Python's Spamalot to deliver
the MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT TREASURE HUNT to tech-savvy
campuses across the country. A limited edition can of SPAM®
Golden Honey Grail is the grand prize. The first of many
game is scheduled for University of Science and
Arts of Oklahoma on August 22nd.
A multi-player, wireless real-time game,
MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT TREASURE HUNT requires
players to use cell phones, wireless PDAs,
the net--even ordinary phones--and lots of real
time footwork to track down the can.
In the two-hour game, players exchange codes
with rivals (you lie, you lose), spam their campus
mascot on the game page, nail down the
SPAM® Golden Honey Grail with dead
reckoning and lots more. The quickest team on
the tech to complete eight quests wins! For
this is the law of the SPAM® Golden Honey Grail.
"And now for something completely different."
says Steve Bull, CEO of Cutlass. "We're going to
top the very successful Cutlass Treasure Hunts
that we've been running nationwide for the last
two years."
Campus organizers provide the tough questions
and the players have all the fun. Cutlass provides
the tech, an on-site tech wizard to customize and supervise
the game, Monty Python's Spamalot give-aways, prizes
including one limited
edition SPAM® Golden Honey Grail from Hormel Foods,
the use of one remote control treasure chest,
assorted tech gizmos, real-time scoring on the
internet, photos and scores archived on the web.
